Data scientist, researcher, and computer enthusiast who loves finding ways to get the most out of technology.
I earned my B.S. in Applied Mathematics in 2016 from the University of Rochester, after which I entered a Ph.D. program at UC Irvine where I was studying using mathematical analysis methods to greatly reduce the spin-up time of ocean circulation models in the hope of being able to predict changes in the thermohaline circulation. Unfortunately, due to health reasons I had to leave my Ph.D. program after only one year, at which point I started working as a consultant with Philanthropy.io, a company that works with non-profit grant makers. I have been working on creating a federated search engine to assist non-profits with finding relevant resources. My hope is to shift my focus towards data science and machine learning projects, although I am also currently studying to take a couple certification exams with relation to cloud computing as well as network security.
Work Terms
I am currently living in Boston, MA, and am able to attend meetings on-site at locations close by, as well as via many remote applications. I tend to work during the standard workday (8-5ish), however I am very willing to be flexible and am able to work for long blocks of time during off hours if an interesting project mandates it. Similarly, while I have a set fee, I am willing to negotiate on it if there is a project that is particular interesting. Feel free to reach out to me via email initially, I should respond quickly (within a few hours). I am also willing to communicate via Skype or other calling program to discuss project details.
