I am a recent college graduate who is looking for work that can be done from home. While in college I had the opportunity to intern for my city's parks, recreation and public facilities department as well as Big Brother's Big Sister's.
My Specific job functions included:
Parks & Recreation Intern:
- Delivered friendly customer service to citizens calling for information on the city’s Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities.
- Main project: Responsible for finalizing and gathering results on a Community Needs Assessment survey intended to help the department identify key needs within the community, relative to the department’s parks, programs, and events.
- Compiled an Employee Handbook for full and part-time employees.
- Collaborated in researching and ordering promotional items for the department.
Big Brother's Big Sister's Intern:
- Was the primary contact for all interested parents and community members wishing to enroll a child in the program.
- Communicated mission and vision to the community in accordance with messaging guidelines.
- Provided friendly customer service to many clients calling in crisis.
- Completed pre interviews by phone with parents and provided community resources to waiting parents and children.
- Assisted in implementing and refining new agency procedures to improve communication with the Central Florida community.
I am a hard worker, detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines. I am personable and customer friendly, so I am able to communicate efficiently with customers/clients.
Work Terms
I am able to work Monday through Thursday, 9-4pm. I prefer to communicate via telephone or email.
