I am an independent consultant in talent management who specializes in data analytics and employee selection.
I have earned a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from George Mason University. I've worked on several research projects and grants (including a multi-million dollar grant with the Department of Homeland Security) and have partnered with various independent consultants and consulting companies to provide services in human resource analytics. I have much experience in test/survey creation and validation (mostly selection assessments), as I worked for the Personnel Assessment Research Unit within the Army Research Institute for almost 5 years. My consulting experience has primarily involved conducting job analyses and creating competency models in order to inform hiring strategies (assessments, interview techniques, job ad/position descriptions, documenting of roles/responsibilities), employee development, performance management, leadership strategies, career paths, and other people-related aspects of the organization. Some crucial tasks common across this work are conducting of focus groups, interviews, surveys and data capture/analysis. See my LinkedIn profile for a more detailed view of my experience and work history.
Work Terms
I am fairly flexible in terms of working hours and can accommodate short turn-around times. I prefer to receive some background on the project and discuss the scope with the employer in order to estimate a level of effort and price. I also like to set a time-line upfront and prefer to be communicative. I can accommodate various project management styles in terms of checking in frequently or being primarily self-managed. I will provide progress updates as often as desired. I prefer to mostly communicate via email.
