I'm a freelance writer. I also write short stories.

A few years ago, I had a project to write brief descriptions of neighborhoods for a client's travel guide. Geographical areas were assigned by the freelance employer. No set hours and no quantity requirements. I worked in my spare time. It was a perfect job for me.
Interests include gardening, walking, traveling, volunteering.
I work full-time at a non-writing job so I like small freelance projects. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism as well as an associate's degree in liberal arts concentrating on art. I was a writer for the Cincinnati Enquirer Nov. 2001 - June 2011, when I was laid off. Prior to that, I freelanced with the Dixie News. I also was a reporter and copy editor for my college (Northern Kentucky University) student newspaper. I also took Technical Writing courses at Cincinnati State College. I originally started out as an English major in college.
