About

As a zoologist and a member of the academia, I have had diverse teaching and research experience. Currently, I am the Head of the Department of Biology and Assistant Professor at the Government Degree College (B) Kot Radha Kishen, Kasur, Pakistan. I have also worked as a Research Associate at the Unviersity of The Punjab (PU), Quaid-e-Azam campus, Lahore, Pakistan for more than two years, during which I investigated the effects of agricultural practices on the natural predators of crop pests through a project funded by the Pakistan Science Foundation.
I earned my bachelor's with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry as the major subjects, my master's in Zoology with a special focus on fisheries and aquaculture, an M.Phil degree in Zoology with research/ thesis work on spiders as natural control agents of rice pests. Currently, I am working on my Phd project which involves molecular systematics of spiders.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have had ample opportunities to perform scientific/ academic work. I have authored an M.Phil thesis and a PhD synopsis, authored assignments on diverse topics, written grants, research proposals and project reports, analyzed data, prepared presentations, taught biology to undergraduate students, freshmen and sophomores, and am also in the process of publishing my scientific work. Access to researchgate.net, PU's journal subscriptions and Turnitin, enhances my capability as a research writer. Moreover, I am an avid book reader and maintain a personal libarary containing hundreds of books and manuscripts (both physical and electronic).
