As a mom of four, I have had extensive practice at proof-reading, tweaking text, and researching. I love to read, I love to write, and I love to learn.
As I stated in my tagline, I'm a mom of four children, all in their 20's. I home-schooled my middle son for three years, and wrote many of his daily lessons in various subjects. I have also written, co-written, or edited speeches for each of them for a faith-based convention every year for 12 years. I became adept had packing stories, facts, and "hook" into short 5-minute speeches. I have also been asked to proof-read and edit several books written by local authors.
I worked for a commercial real estate company, and was the primary creator of contracts, amendments, and other legal documents. I acted as the Executive Assistant for the office, and Personal Assistant to the owner. I wrote emails, office memos, and other office correspondence on a regular basis.
I attended college for 2 years before joining the military, where I trained as an Intelligence Specialist. Our job was to analyze aerial and satellite photography and accumulate information to put into concise, fully researched briefs. I lived overseas with my active-duty husband for 6 years, and began a network-marketing business while there. I wrote ad copy and marketing materials for 2 years before our return to the US, and then for another year here.
My passion is psychology, and I am often asked to speak, both in a teaching capacity and personal. I love to help others, and finding the right words and the right way to express them is crucial. My writing reflects that passion, and I have become adept at bringing a personal touch to my classes.
