My experience:
I graduated top of my Communications degree program in 2016 and have since gained years of experience producing high-quality content in the social purpose sector.
As a communications strategist and an editor at Ashoka, I honed my skills in editing and producing diverse communications that resonate globally. In addition to crafting, copyediting, and proofreading our proposals to funders, I led the development of compelling narratives for websites, social media, and newsletters, ensuring that every piece met high editorial standards for dynamism and engagement, as well as clarity and accuracy. I also created editorial guidelines to align country offices across platforms and provided editing expertise for the annual Leading Social Entrepreneurs book. My experiences have refined my ability to enhance communications through meticulous assessment, optimizing content with an eye for detail.
Fun fact: I am also a playwright! Supported by Oxford University, I wrote my first play in 2015: MADRES DE LA REVOLUCIÓN. This two-act undertaking of the Salvadoran Civil War has since received the support of theatres, organizations, and government entities alike, including the Salvadoran Embassy to the United States. I have continued to author plays to advance social justice and have received honors in the new play development scene. My experiences as an “artivist” playwright have profoundly shaped my appreciation for the power of storytelling and instilled in me a commitment to amplifying diverse voices.
Let’s connect!
I am eager to bring my editing expertise and passion for the written word to your impactful projects. Let’s enhance your vision!
