Ex-teacher turned freelance writer
Teaching special education students was enjoyable, the politics in the classroom and in the school was not. Due to the high stress of the job, I left teaching to become a freelance writer. I have written many articles for "Boating on the Hudson' a free magazine. I live on my boat in the summer, and often when circumstances presented themselves to me, I felt compelled to write about them. I have written two books for children and parents called "Social Stories for Children with Disabilities". I wrote and illustrated a fun book for preschoolers called "There's a duck in my house". While teaching I wrote lesson plans, daily notes home, daily progress notes, yearly IEP's (Individualized Educational Plan) reports, and more. Writing has been a part of my life since I was a little girl, as in Elementary school I joined the school newspaper. I enjoy researching ideas to make my articles spot on. I will make sure I meet the deadline 100% of the time.
Work Terms
I write and review between the hours of 9-5 EST. Monday through Friday. I can be reached through the message board.
