A student who loves to write
I am a bright, energetic, and positive highschool graduate. I am native to both English and Korean and is a strong bilingual. I finished kindergarten and grade 1 in the UBC area in Vancouver, Canada, and returned to Korea to study in elementary and middle school. When I was 15, I returned again to Vancouver, attending University Hill Secondary School. Due to the pandemic, however, I had to leave my school in Vancouver and return to my family in Seoul. Instead of struggling from online classes and the change of day and night due to time difference, I decided to study for the GED test and obtain highschool graducation certificate. I have gotten high scores in all four subject areas out of the score 200: English 185, Math 200, Social Studies 188, Science 173. I also recently took the ACT and received a highest composite score of 33 and a superscore of 34: English 33, Math 36, Reading 31, Science 36. (equivalent to SAT 1520-1550) I currently work as a freelance proofreader and editor at Haolla platform, specializing in SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and Common App essays, and am also currently teaching preschool, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students English 1 on 1. Reading, writing, speaking, and test-prep for college are my specialties.
