I studied Sociology at University ”Babes-Bolyai” Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between 1993 and 1997. In 1998, I have acquired master’s degree in Community Development at University ”Babes-Bolyai” Cluj-Napoca. In 2013, I have earned PhD degree in Sociology (”magna cum laude”) at University ”Babes-Bolyai” Cluj-Napoca. Between 2015 and 2018, I studied Marketing, at the same university.
After I had graduated in Sociology, I have worked as a teacher-sociologist for four years. The main responsibilities of this position included career counselling, teachers’ and parents’ counselling, designing training programmes for teachers, collecting and analysing data concerning pupils’ aspirations to achieve upper secondary education, and teaching social sciences in upper secondary school.
Between March 2001 and August 2016, I worked at the University ”1 Decembrie 1918” of Alba Iulia. I have begun as a teaching assistant. In 2002, I became a lecturer assistant. I have taught many disciplines, including Research Methodology, Qualitative Research, and Demography.
While I was working as a lecturer assistant, I participated in several research projects so that I have improved my skills in conducting social research. I have the ability to coordinate people through the successive stages of any research. I know how to design a questionnaire or an interview guide. I am a good interviewer. I am able to transcribe interviews. I can manage SPSS and Excel databases with ease. I know how to write research reports and academic studies.
For 10 months, I have worked as an editor at the National Museum Astra, in Sibiu. I was a member of Astra Film Festival's staff. My main responsibilities were research, editing, project management, email marketing campaigns, and database management.
