Developer with a server-side tilt!
I spend the majority of my time coding these days.
Whether it is experimenting with a new language or framework or continuing to bring myself up to speed, I absolutely adore the languages of the web.
There is a certain kind of satisfaction that can be derived from seeing an application you've developed spring to life in another's browser and that drives me to continue trying new things with the languages I know and the languages I'm learning.
But it's not enough to just make things.
I also delight in making good, clean code. Code I would be proud to show off in its source as well as its completed form. As such I strive to make my work presentable even when I am the only one to see it.
What am I good at?
On the web, I am experienced in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Node.js and the Express.js framework. I have a strong knowledge in Python and to an extent its frameworks Django and Flask. I am also familiar with Ruby and php.
I also have experience in Wordpress, have tinkered in Drupal and Joomla! and am fluent in Markdown. My E-commerce experiments have included Shopify, Neto and Stripe, and to tie it all together I am practiced in the various methods of Search Engine Optimization.
On local machines I've worked with Ruby, Python, C++ and C#. I like to tinker with Python especially, but I try to play with a broad range of languages - one never knows what would be useful!

Work Terms
My hours of operation are flexible, and I am perfectly happy to discuss what is required with my clients to ensure that they are able to get in touch with me when they need to.
While I am happy to quote a lump sum for projects, I can also be hired for an hourly rate of ~$25 AUD per hour. For lump sum projects I work on a 25%/50%/25% payment structure, while hourly work is billed at the end of each week.
If you work in Australia I am happy to provide mobile phone contact, otherwise I am happy to speak with you via email or Skype, as the situation requires. I would greatly prefer to have only one point of contact regarding project decisions to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
