When I realized I wasn't becoming rich and famous fast enough, I turned my gaze to my natural love and talent for writing.Writing a few freelance pieces for news and magazines as well as an ongoing job writing on newsletters for a Day Spa where I worked as an aesthetician as well as a group of Natural Health stores, I wanted more. I started on an online Content site and never looked back.
Soon I realized I had a penchant for Creative Writing as well as Content and Blog-Style writing on pertinent subjects within my career as an aesthetician. I began writing professional articles on skincare, hair, makeup, and spa treatments for the Examiner online. However, the Examiner eventually closed and I became a news writer on the subjects of Beauty and Style but also wrote other news articles on Celebrity and Entertainment for the Daily Voice News online. I also write Creative poetry and short stories and have been published in anthologies. I am seasoned but modern, and adaptable. I have two sensible grown up children and live in Ontario, Canada in a regular life but dream about living with palm trees, surrounded by the colour 'Shimmering Turquoise'- or is it Azure?- with my butler and maid, of course.
Work Terms
When working I prefer to have reasonable requests with reasonable time to do the job. I really love to have a full explanation of what my client wants in a writing piece, as in instructions, tone, voice, approximate amount of words, payment and turn around time. I will need this information and a comfortable line of communication before I begin. Communication is everything when writing. I am easy to work with and don't mind having to do a re-write. I aim to please after having been satisfied with the above information.
Also, i would hope my client does not mind if I consult them a few times to ensure I'm on the right (write) track.
Presently I am starting off part-time but may just expand on that as I get busier. I am not 'Tech-y" so sorry, I can't write those transcripts on how to install (?) apps or clear a virus. Otherwise I'm ready and raring to go!
