As an undergraduate at UNC Wilmington, I obtained a BA in English/Professional Writing, and also obtained a certificate in Professional Writing. My next educational step was to attend Dartmouth College, where I received my Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies, with a focus in independent film and gender studies. While law school may seem like a deviation from my previous work, I used my time there to learn as much as I could about the legal system that so influenced many of the films that I watched and analyzed in my previous programs. The totality of this education has greatly benefited my editing and writing abilities, as well as my aptitude to think logically and understand a concept from every possible angle.
In addition to my recent work as an intern in the fast-paced marketing division of a cable-movie network, I also write daily articles for a popular horror website and act as the site’s assistant editor. Between these two daily positions, I have acquired skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, HTML coding, graphic design, and a host of other web-based programs. Additionally, both positions require that I am active on social media on a daily basis. I am also able to manage many tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines, as is often required by both jobs.
