Lisa Danaczko is a writer, artist, and non-profit professional living in Baltimore, Maryland, and hailing from Houston, Texas. She serves communities as a freelance writer/editor and external affairs consultant for arts and education non-profits. As Manager of Philanthropic Partnerships for BellXcel (formerly known as BELL-Building Educated Leaders for Life), she raises $3M+ annually for education research, scaling initiatives, and Mid-Atlantic out-of-school-time programs.
Lisa previously managed donor and alumni relations at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and School of Education. After moving to Baltimore in 2010, Lisa had the opportunity to teach talented young people at Wide Angle Youth Media, for which she currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors. In addition, she supported the work of artists at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Artforum International Magazine, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.
In Fall 2015, Lisa completed her first novel manuscript during the Virginia Center for Creative Arts writing residency program. Her photography, illustrations, and fiction have appeared in PennUnion Literary Journal, Jester Magazine, and Tablet Magazine. Lisa holds a B.A. in Art History and Creative Writing from Columbia University and a M.A. in Writing from the Johns Hopkins University.
