Experienced mandrain tutor

Hi, my Chinese name is Pan Li Yan but you can call me Vicky and I come from a small city in the North-East of China. I am married to Wayne, who is also a teacher from England, and together we have a 5-year-old son who is bilingual and loves learning languages.
I have been a language tutor for over 11 years, teaching both English and Chinese to students of all ages. After university, I began my teaching career in English First, being promoted to Chinese Teacher Manager after 5 years. My husband and I opened our own private language school and we taught students from age 3 to 16. In January this year, we moved back to Ireland, where I have continued to follow my teaching dreams and teach Irish students.
I believe that every class should allow students the opportunity to practice what they have learned, including interactive resources that encourage their speaking in a fun and exciting environment. During my teaching career, I have always structured my classes to include steps that allow students to understand the vocabulary and then to encourage them to begin structuring their own sentences and questions. I have always introduced the ability for students to practice with one another as well as the teacher, providing confidence building within the classroom.
In China, I have have experienced the public school curriculum personally, as well as professionally. However, having just resettled in Ireland, I am taking steps to further my knowledge and understanding of the school curriculums and examination boards.
