Below is part of an Easter Poem I wrote, called Cherubic Faces With Loose Shoe LacesHow I long for fun In the sweet Spring Sun Watching children scatter For eggs they will gather Dreaming of filling Baskets without spilling All of their treasures Fulfilling their pleasures Little hands grabbing All the eggs they are nabbing How I love to watch them When they laugh and play Loving the feeling all through the day Cherubic faces With loose shoe laces Jumping and running And showing their cunning Watching them spy An egg way up high Some too small To climb a wall Just right for tight places Getting caught by loose shoe laces Mothers a flitter Do watch their litter Little ones playing Looking for where eggs are laying Many search for the prize With their little eyes Little ones wait Wondering why the bunny is late Under the clear blue sky We sit and spy Both near and far Sounds of laughter inside a car How I love those cherubic faces
