Hello,

I'm Lorri Heneveld, from North Pole, Alaska. I provide two primary freelance services: audiobook narration and copyediting. You can see and hear examples of my writing and voice acting skills by visiting my website, mynarrationstation.com.
I'm a retired English teacher with an MEd degree. I have over 40 years of writing and editing experience. I have written hundreds of academic papers, using APA style.

I'm a semi-professional vocalist who enjoys singing jazz, pop, and show tunes for special events in the Fairbanks area. I also perform in local musical theatre productions, in between audiobook narration and editing projects. I'm a volunteer member of the Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre company (FLOT), Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival's Cabaret and Jazz programs, and Fairbanks Volunteers in Policing. My passion for singing and acting led to my interest in audiobook narration and production.

NOTE TO AUTHORS: Have you considered turning your novel into an audiobook? Please consider hiring me to edit your manuscript AND produce the audiobook. I'm very good at what I do. I can provide references if you need them.

Work Terms

I run a home-based freelance business Mon-Fri., 9-5. I live in the Alaska time zone. I'm 4 hours behind Eastern time, so if it's 8am in New York, it's 4am in Alaska. I also occasionally work on the weekends, if there is a compelling reason to do so. I'm happy to communicate with you through Skype, FaceTime, email, text, or phone calls.

I usually charge $100 per hour for audiobook production projects, and $30 per hour for editing. Audiobooks are more expensive, because I have to pay for time in a recording studio, and split my profits with a sound engineer. If you hire me for both services (editing your manuscript + recording your book), we can negotiate the price. I will give you a 25% discount.
