Experienced Developer with Great Communication and People Skills.

I started out as a C programmer after obtaining my Computer Science degree, worked for 3 start ups for about 1 year each. My fourth job lasted 22 years, at a company called Amdocs, where I developed software for the Cable TV industry. The legacy software was written in C, but I also worked on a Next Generation project with Java/J2EE for 4 years. I also helped to create and maintain a suite of MFC C++ applications called provisioning agents that interfaced with external systems that sent hits to settop boxes to enable/disable content. I incorporated C# libraries so we could use .NET along with our legacy C++ code.
I worked at Franchise Tax Board as a Web developer for about 1.5 years using ASP.NET and C# and MS SQL Server.
I am currently working as an Agile Java Developer at Department of Child Support Services.

Work Terms

I work full time so am looking for small to medium sized projects. I will be available primarily on weekends to perform this work, but can be available for 1 or 2 hours during the week as needed. My rate is flexible based on the nature of the work.
If I am able to learn something new then to me that is very worthwhile so I would charge a lower rate.
