I am a hard-working translator graduated from IES Dr. Pedro Goyena (Bachelor’s Degree in Technical and Scientific Translation). During the course of my academic career, I became proficient in using SDL Trados Studio and participate in some collaborative translation projects. After graduation, I did my specialization in video games and mobile app localization at Traduversia where I had the opportunity to localize several video games and mobile apps, such as Battle for Wesnoth and Viber. At Traduversia, I also learned how to use software, such as Poedit and OmegaT and how to classify and report bugs. Currently, I have the privilege of working for Babylon Radio Dublin in a freelance translator role in my free time, where I translate some articles for their website.
I am a very curious person who is constantly reading about languages and technology. Moreover, I enjoy localizing video games and mobile apps, since it is a fascinating task which allows users to have a better experience when using the product. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as responsible and quality-oriented by my professors and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven writing, grammar, and proofreading skills, which I hope to leverage into the freelance translator role at your company.
I hope you will agree that I am the type of competent and competitive candidate you are looking for. I look forward to elaborating on how my specific skills and abilities will benefit your organization. Please, contact me via email at traduccioneslr@gmail.com to arrange for a convenient meeting time.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
Lucía Evangelina Ramírez
