I have been in digital marketing since 2016; specializing in SEO, website design (WP, Shopify, Weebly and Sitebuilder), and lead generation.

The tools I use in my SEO are: Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, Spyfu, Alexa ranking and other metrics that are usually used in search engine optimization. In addition to the metric tools, I also use google analytics and google search console to keep track of traffic and as a means to see which keywords need help.

I use Ahrefs (my fave), SEMRUSH, Majestic, SpyFu, Screaming Frog (sometimes), SEO Minion (all the time) and I'm always keeping an eye on SEO trends. Definitely check on Alexa ranking when I add backlinks for off-page SEO.

Work Terms

As an independent contractor, I bill either by the hour or by the job. By the hour, it ranges from $85-$100 and by the job, for instance - building a website (Initial SEO focused with keyword optimization, monthly maintenance etc) starts at $100 per page.

For SEO, it would depend on your niche and what cities you are trying to rank for.
