Let me help you with the most important piece of marketing your business- your content wording!

My background is in marketing and sales but after we moved abroad from the States I started doing proofreading and editing for (the very controversial!) former director of antiquities for Egypt Dr. Zahi Hawass for his materials and for the department's archaeological papers and reports which had been written by scientists from various countries with English as their second language. I soon discovered I was pretty good at editing and enjoyed it.

Brazil was the next country we lived in and I did basic website creation (Go Daddy) and a weekly newsletter for my small business, website content creation for another business, as well as social media marketing. Since then we have moved to two more countries (Trinidad & Tobago and now in Thailand) and I did some work for a startup, writing articles on certain cities and inputting data for a recommended business directory. I have also done various proofreading/editing projects for website content, and recreating wording to proper English grammar as well as working on making it sound more exciting or intriguing for the target audience in that particular industry.

With marketing materials it is very important to not just offer valuable content to the audience you are trying to reach but also to use the appropriate words to gain interest and even evoke emotion.

On a more personal note, I speak a bit of Spanish and Portuguese. I love to read- mostly nonfiction and historical fiction but I am in a book club so I have to read a bit of everything! I love the ocean and watersports like SCUBA diving, snorkeling, kite surfing, wake boarding, as well as playing golf on occasion. I love science and history (I studied anthropology) and I am into healthy cooking but also am a foodie so it has to be yummy! In addition, I volunteer for an NGO that fights the plastics overuse here in Asia, hoping to make a difference. And I have a 7 year old son who is into everything I am into!
