He is currently the founder and principal of a global training and coaching firm, as well as founder and Master Roaster of a specialty coffee roasting company. He has served as a senior consultant in a top national consulting firm and as the founder and CEO of a governmental advisory practice. He also spent a decade serving as a city manager, and before that as an urban and regional planner.

The breadth of his knowledge and experience in diverse industries, businesses, and government agencies has made him a unique asset to thousands of enthusiastic consulting, training, and coaching clients. Well-traveled, Mac thrives in diverse cultures. He has traveled to and worked in 46 U.S. states/territories, and in countries on five continents. He loves roasting and drinking coffee, and is an avid outdoorsman, as well a bibliophile (reading about 100 books a year).
