Hi there! My name is Madeline and I am looking forward to working with you to enhance your writing, allowing you to put out content that gives you a sense of pride!
I have a PhD in the Psychology of Human Movement from Temple University and successfully defended my dissertation on the topic of the transition out of competitive sport. Throughout my four years at Temple, I was a writing mentor for close to 300 students. In this role, I worked closely with my students to enhance their writing skills, attention to detail, and use of APA format. I also have experience writing and editing grant proposals, which led me to receive a grant for my research in 2017.
I have additional writing and editing experience in the field of general psychology having completed my Master’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2015. While at UNCW, I gained hands on experience with the research process, from writing IRB proposals to creating and implementing data protocols. This opportunity enhanced my confidence in successfully mentoring those navigating the research writing process.
My main focus is on helping you become aware of your STRENGTHS and speaking to them in your personal statements (for college or graduate school) or cover letters for job applications. My services also include editing academic or work-related papers, including edits for APA format reference pages.

Work Terms
My work hours are between 10 and 4pm, Monday through Friday. I am not available via email after 4pm or between Friday at 4pm and Monday at 10am.
Your full payment is required prior to beginning our mentoring and editing sessions.
Mentoring will be conducted over zoom (60 minutes) and editing will take place in google docs and will be all electronic communication. To provide you with your highest potential writing success, you will need to commit to 3 hours of mentoring and editing. This will cover 1 hour of mentoring, and 2 hours of editing.
If you are just looking for a quick edit of a paper, I am happy to accommodate this request as well, but you will not receive a mentoring session for this $35 service.
