About

I have more than fifteen years of real-world technical experience in mission-critical information systems and web applications technologies. My passion lies in full-stack web applications development with a strict adherence to standards and best practices using open source frameworks and libraries.

While the bulk of my professional career was spent in data centers as a systems administrator or network engineer, much of my free time was spent in web development just for fun. I started out in PHP/MySQL back in the early 2000's, but have "matured" into using MVC frameworks such as Ruby on Rails. Web applications development is my passion, and I'm happy to have been able to convert my hobby into a full-time job.

I'm an enthusiastic, resourceful, and goal-oriented achiever who works well with zero supervision, both alone as well as in teams. I don't always know the answer, but I know how to find it, and I'm very persistent and don't give up easily. I'm fearless of challenges, but I know when a bite might be too big to chew, so I'm not afraid to stop and seek assistance.

Work Terms

I'm normally a weekday eight-to-five worker, but the nature of being freelance often dictates night and weekend work, and I'm okay with that.

I'm best reached by email rather than phone, and that's because having conversations in writing give me something to refer to for dates and details when I'm having a forgetful moment.

Work will be invoiced upon completion, and payment will be due upon receipt. Large projects may require a non-refundable deposit before work will begin.
