Web designing essentials for a graceful website

Web designing is a profession that does not require you to be a rocket scientist but what you need are presence of mind, aesthetic sense, innovative bent of mind, graceful approach, and at the same time a commercial bent of mind too. Commercial because you know at the end of the day you are out there to do business. I have been working as a web designing professional and I believe in mixing a personal touch with a certain degree of commercialism so that the website sells well for my clients. I have worked with different web designing tools, options, and features, the most prominent ones being XHTML, FBML, Strict and Transitional DOCTYPES, typography, visual arts, accurate and suitable page layouts. I am also into developing walls for Facebook, Twitter, and You Tube, and creating Facebook apps. WordPress, Joomla, and Magento are the Content Management Systems that I prefer to work with.

Work Terms

I normally follow the following protocol for Wordpress Development :

Step 1 : Create the Graphical Layout in Photoshop and send the Mock ( JPG ) for approval.

Step 2: Once the Mock is approved, The PSD to HTML Conversion is done and the URL of the HTML page is send for approval.

Step 3: Once the HTML is approved , HTML to Wordpress Theme conversion Takes place.

Step 4: The Theme will be installed on our development server and URL of the wordpress site is send for the approval of the theme.

Step 5 : Once the theme is approved , Internal pages are created and other functionalities are implemented.
