See the world with us!
Now retired after 40 years in the television news industry, including many years as a news editor, I am now freelancing as a travel writer. I run my own travel blog, The Destinations Guru, and also write a political blog, The Jolly Libertarian. I am developing and will soon be launching a third blog, Now and Then, which will compare fashion, technology and prices from three 1962 department store catalogues with those of today. I am also an active participant in two music blogs and occasionally write for both. One is at the Guardian Newspaper based in London.
On a personal note, I am married with two adult children. Our son lives close by in the next town and our daughter lives half way around the world in Australia. We are about to become grandparents for the first time. I work as a volunteer with the City of Abbotsford as a teacher of literacy skills, primarily to immigrants. I also serve on our townhouse development's strata council.
Work Terms
Since I am retired, my hours are flexible. I am willing to travel if travel and accommodations are paid for by my employer. But I travel extensively already and can write about any and all of the places I have been.
