For the past 17 years I have been learning, researching, teaching, and applying Artificial Intelligence techniques for decision and optimization, machine learning, data mining and knowledge representation.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Since 2017 I'm a Senior Data Scientist contractor at National Pharmacy Association (ANF) where I design and develop algorithms for predicting customer retention, semantic interpretation of textual medical prescriptions, predicting pharmacy daily stock, among others.

Since 2015 I'm a researcher and developer at TheSolvingMachine where I design and develop of a cloud based solution for planning pickup/delivery transportation activities involving multiple vehicles, time and resource constraints.

EDUCATION
In 2004 I got a MSc degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, with the thesis "Heuristic Search for Protein Structure Determination".
In 2010 I got a PhD degree in Constraint Optimization, from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, with the thesis "Modern Techniques for Constraint Solving".
