I’m a fast and efficient translator with 5 years of experience translating for businesses, NGOs and UN organizations
I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I attended a bilingual school from pre-kinder through 12th grade. I graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where I majored in World Politics. Even before graduating I gained experience as a translator when I worked as an intern for the Jesuit Service for Refugees and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Afterwards, I have worked closely with the private company Almacenes Plaza here in Santo Domingo. As a wholesale business that relies on foreign imports, it is my job to translate numerous documents from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English, including: correspondence, contracts and the user instructions and materials found on the boxes of our products. I've also worked as a bilingual customer service representative and a Math teacher for 7th and 8th graders.
I am fast, efficient, organized and diligent. I work with enthusiasm and professionalism. I have excellent time management skills and have yet to miss a deadline, whether it was on a school project or a work assignment.
my hobbies include: reading watching cooking and baking shows and spending time with my family, friends and cat.
Work Terms
I am available Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. til 10:00 p.m. I expect payment upon successful completion of a project. I consider a project to have been completed successfully only if the customer is satisfied with the result so revisions are free. I prefer to communicate through email or WhatsApp.
