I am passionate about people, languages, art and design.

I am a graduate student of Architecture. I have always had a love for languages. I am currently learning a fifth language, Afrikaans which I first heard in South Africa. I did my studies in South Africa and really wanted to learn a local language. Unfortunately, my first interest, Xhosa, was a little bit difficult to master. Therefore I turned to Afrikaans which is closer to the languages I already know.

Throughout the course of my life, I have lived in 5 different African countries and attended school in Spanish, French and English. While I was completing my education I encountered many different cultural groups who spoke wildly diverse idioms such as Wolof in Senegal, Malagasy in Madagascar or Urdu in Mauritius.

I enjoy analyzing languages and idioms to try and see if there are any links between them. I found out that Mauritian creole, which is the third language I've learned, is constituted of Wolof, English, French and Indian idioms. How amazing?
