I learnt english by myself through music when I was 12 years old. It took me 2 years to fully understand a conversation and be able to speak fluently. I didn't have anyone to practice with until I took a test to check my level. After that kept practicing by myself. When I started working at a callcenter several years later, I had to take a call in english since none of my colleagues spoke at all and I was praised by the client on the other line. After that I kept practicing reading and writing more. I got a customer service position with an insurance company full english and then as a bilingual agent. I was tasked with translating work related materials, handouts, booklets etc. I got some translation proyectes with medical students, then short stories for novels, COVID related investigations , all while still working full-time as an interpreter which is my current job. However translation is what I prefer the most, since it also allows me to learn about other fields of medicine, technology, books and novels, culture, travel and many other subjects that I'm curious about.
Currently my hobbies include warching movies in Korean, since that's the language I'm interested in learning, music, dogs, food, etc.
