Mark is an award winning writer/director of film and theatre. He began in theatre as a founding member of Joinedupwriters (writers in residence - Old Red Lion Theatre, London 2004-08).
Mark’s plays went on to be performed at the Soho Theatre, Kings Head, Riverside Studios and festivals such as the Lost Theatre and Camden Fringe.

Since moving into film he has become a prolific source of creativity as writer and/or director on films such as features Guardians, Shooting Paul and Dead on the Vine along with shorts Corinthian, Stained and Stalker. His films have been selected for over 200 festivals and garnered Best film, director and screenwriter awards at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle Film Festival, the BIFA qualifying Unrestricted View Film Festival, the British Horror Film Festival, The New Orleans Film Festival, a Special Mention in the Brenda Blethyn First Feature award, the Gold List at the British Independent Film Festival and official selections at the BAFTA qualifying Raindance and the London Short Film Festival. HIs scripts have placed in the Top 10% of the Academy Awards Nicholls Fellowship, the final of the Manchester Film Festival, Austin Revolution, top 15% of Austin Film Festival among many others.

His projects in production include a horror feature for Dreamtown and director Brad Watson and the short film Candles (starring Paterson Joseph).
