Jack of all trades, editing.
I have been around film and video production since the late 90s. I started editing on an old U-Matic straight cuts editing station, and quickly moved to nonlinear. My first exposure was on Media100, which used to be a leader in the industry. I quickly moved on to Apple Final Cut (v1) and Adobe Premiere. I primarily worked on those two platforms as an editor for the Government Access channel where I was employed after graduating from University of North Texas with a BA in Radio, TV and Film. I later went on to get my Master of Fine Arts degree in Documentary Filmmaking.
I have taught classes in Visual Editing, which were primarily focused on the art of the edit, while offering students the opportunity to get certified as Avid Media Composer users.
My freelance work has varied from corporate video work to simple informational videos. A majority of those projects were packages designed to be inserted into newscasts and magazine shows. I am familiar with a number of delivery formats, from archival quality to streaming quality, and can provide a finished project in any of a number of desired formats.
