I am passionate about writing and conveying a message clearly. Information can get so jumbled within our minds & coaxing that information from transient thought to fluid narrative is great.
My story is this, I was born in a suburb of Atlanta. My childhood was full of the typical modern 'Y' generation events. Sports, school, high-school, memories, friends, virginity, strife with parents, etc. My choices became slimmer at the age of 19 when I was forced to make a streamlined decision about the future. With nowhere to go and desiring to be more than I was, I joined the United States Air Force. I enlisted in 2003 and was trained in the occupation of weather forecasting/observing. From there my experiences took me to Alaska where I braved a couple of frigid winters and three deployments. I had the pleasure of serving in both Kirkuk, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan (also Manas, Krgyzstan). I took a lot from each of these experiences. My customers consisted of stealth fighters to the ugly stepson of aviation, the A-10 Thunderbolt. I learned to be brief but concise. From Alaska, my life slowly devolved into a drug addiction. My stress and choices led to a anti-climactic addition that led to my discharge from the Air Force. From this point, you know how the story goes. Eventually, found a woman and had a child. The fore-mentioned event struck a chord in the epicenter of my soul which stopped the senseless drug abuse. With their support I was able to move forward in my life. In 2012 I began working at the VA Hospital helping veterans with similar issues such as mine. I was also able to complete two Masters Degrees in Psychology and HR Management. This day, I'm content and living life to the fullest.
