It contains highlights of my experience, as well as writing samples.
I have had two nonfiction books published (NOT self-published) that are for sale on Amazon.com.
After receiving a BA in economics from Princeton and a law degree from William & Mary, I started as a tax and entertainment attorney. Leaving law, I established the West Coast office NYC-based record label Viceroy Music, home to members of Genesis, Toto and other music legends. Later I worked as promotions manager for the San Diego Gulls pro hockey team (now an affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks).
My first book caught the eye of legendary literary agent Jack Scovil (Norman Mailer, Carl Sagan). It was subsequently published as Reality Check: Priceless Advice for Musicians (ArtistPro Books). My next book was Creative Careers in Music (Allworth Press/Skyhorse Publishing).
I have been a writer and contributing editor at leading roots music magazine Elmore! Saving American Music and written for other national publications. I have also penned numerous CD liner notes including Gypsy Swing All-Stars: “Les Nouveaux Bohemiens” (18th & Vine) and AD 21: "Christmas...A Winter's Love" (Lifestyles).
On behalf of France-based Nutrilys, a nutritional supplement company, Mark wrote the promotional video script "Military Formula Shark Liver Oil Marine-Based Supplements." Narrated by former CNN anchor Brian Christie.
