Proofreader

I am a retired Administrative Assistant after 30 years of various office experiences. I have performed transcription for insurance companies, medical and legal documents as well as composing correspondence and ensuring accuracy for payroll information.

I am an avid reader and have been for as long as I can remember; I am also a crossword puzzle addict.

While I do read for my own entertainment, one cannot help but proofread along the way. I am just beginning a career in proofreading, I have a keen eye for detail, unwavering focus and the inability to take anything for granted. I don’t just proof read a document I interrogate it.

Never assume is my motto. Anything that appears even slightly suspect will be investigated. Although I am thorough by nature, I do fully appreciate the hectic and demanding pace of the commercial world and to that end, prioritize workload to reflect the client’s requirements.

I am looking for remote work and am available to work at any time of the day. You can contact me via my email address listed and although I am a beginner, my rates are not at the bottom of the scale. You will get what you paid for. All rates, or course, will depend on what I am proofing, the length and turnaround time.
