Martika Gartman is a Chicago based Business, Event, Portrait, Family, Child and Headshot Lifestyle and Photographer. She is a Virginia native with a 20 year career in law and politics who picked up her Canon and hung up her lobbying shoes after marrying and moving to Illinois. Her career experiences include working as an intern in the White House, serving as a member of a Governor's personal staff, lobbying for the Medical Society of Virginia, serving as an Assistant Attorney General, Employment Law and serving as a lobbyist for State Farm a Fortune 500 insurance company. Her work has appeared in Crain's Chicago Business Magazine, Oak Brook Life, Neighbors of Westmont and Neighbors of Darien magazines. More recently, she shot a Fashion Look Book on the homepage of www.simplybe.com a UK retailer's US website. Some of her other work will be published in Chicago Polo Magazine in 2017. Martika possesses a unique combination of corporate and political background and right brained and left brained communication skills. She interacts with her clients and subjects to create images with a dash of elegance and a touch of whimsy where appropriate. This unique flavor combination results in timeless, realistic and vibrant images that are suitable for many applications.
