Writing has the power to let authors flee from the real world, just as reading has the ability to let readers escape from reality. To write is a challenge as it begins with nothing, but space on a piece of paper or a blank document on a computer. Because the arts allow you to expand your imagination on a piece of paper, is why writing brings me such joy.
I am fascinated by the idea of imagination and history, which explains part of the reason why I love writing in general. I am captivated how an author can write anywhere in the world, making writing portable, yet eternal. Writing can express who you are as a person and forces your thinking to be noticeable and recognized.
Besides writing, my interests include acting, ballet and art. Because I have studied all of these different forms of skill, I have a wider range of knowledge that allows me to expand the depth of my writings. Acting and ballet extend the limits of compassion and familiarity. For instance, I am now more experienced with Shakespeare and his writings because I was able to sincerely value how the diversity and variability of blank verse brightens the significance and purpose of his dramas. This is because I played the role of Lady Macbeth in our high school drama show and the role of Juliet in our ballet production of Romeo and Juliet.
To include, being named after the great Henri Matisse, I was obliged to study and learn about the history of modern art and artists who helped spark revolutions in expression and meaning.
I have lived in Moscow, Russia training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and I speak fluent english, russian, and french.
