My creativity originates from my love of reading. From a young age, I have been enraptured with storytelling and being immersed in different worlds, settings, and situations. I am constantly absorbing stories through movies, games, books, conversations with people around me.
My love of reading fostered my love of drawing which has led to illustration and graphic design. All of the stories that I consume inspire me to create. My outlet for creation is illustration and graphic design.
Growing up, I was exposed to and grew to love tales of the Old West. I am particularly keen on the "cowboy" persona and the varying connotations and personalities associated with that archetype. I have worn a cowboy hat as my daily attire for the last nine years and proudly continue to do so. Whatever negative associations that people connect to cowboys, I use my own words and deeds to bring counteracting associations such as honor and integrity. My friends call me Cowboy Hat Matt, and I like to think they think of me and my hat with fondness and positivism.
I was raised to believe in cooperation and cohesion. Therefore, to me, communication is a major key to success.
