My name is Maxim Lardinois, I am an aspiring video game concept/ comic artist living in the Netherlands, born of a French father and a Belgian mother.
Like my heritage, my work is a Frankenstein-like hodge-podge of various influences and stylistic elements that inspire me. In my work I want to combine the visual violence of anime, the fluidity of the French comic artists, the chiaroscuro of the Italian masters and mix it all up in unique, dynamic graphical compositions that suck in the audience.
While my work tends to be heavily stylized per default, I am constantly trying to achieve greater heights of detail and realism without losing my own particular flavour.
