Hi, I am May Ann L. Campaner, but you can call me Mai. I worked as an OFW in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 9 years. I started out as a waitress in a Food and Beverage company, then ended as a Company Secretary in an oil and gas company. When I went back to the Philippines, I worked in the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of our Local Government Unit.
First, every time I work for a company, I work with passion. For me, being passionate isn’t just about knowing – it's also about feeling.
Second, with my work experience, most especially from the Disaster preparedness office (MDRRMO), we were trained on how to identify and prevent potential problems. This is what we call being proactive.
Third, I am always motivated to do my job, and work on it with the best effort I possibly can. There have been a few instances where my previous employers would ask me to do a job that I have limited experience and knowledge on, but I made sure that I put effort to learn it, research it, and complete the task. One example I can give is creating a company website linked to an email domain.
The Fun thing about me is that I have no other luxury than FOODS.
