Work Terms
I work flexible hours (please note that I live in New Zealand, so I am anywhere from 6-8 hours behind New York time, though I take clients from the United States and other countries). I generally charge USD $35/hour pro-rata. I keep a strict time sheet that you will have access to with date, times worked, total hours (or portion of hours) worked, what I did exactly for your project, and how much was owed for that work done. If I work 40 minutes, you will only be charged for 40 minutes (0.66 hours).
For most projects, I am able to give a flat rate with a conditional hour-cap. If my clients exceed that time cap, then additional billable hours will be in order on top of the flat rate. I try very hard to manage all of my client's expectations related to their projects, and walk all of my clients through all of the possible road blocks that they may not anticipate regarding their project. In this way, expectations of turn around time can be managed and my clients will be able to better stick to their budgets.
