I've been doing marketing communications for B2B software companies for over 25 years. I started in Silicon Valley in the 90s doing PR and worked my way to director of corporate communications in 2008 when I moved to Amsterdam. I now work as a freelancer, d.b.a. Flatland Communications, focusing on corporate and product messaging/positioning, copywriting, content creation and content strategy. Throughout my career I've learned that no matter how things change and how many new sales/communications channels open up, there's no substitute for solid writing and content strategies that target the right customers in the right way at the right time.
Work Terms
I have a global customer/partner base so my working hours are extremely flexible, and I communicate readily through all channels: email, text, Skype, FaceTime, Webex, etc. I bill at the end of the month payable 20 days.
