Let me help you create your vision.
I've been working with art most of my life. Even when I haven't been working in framing shops, galleries, studios, photography labs (do any still exist?), and craft stores; ways to get creative always show up. Once people find out you can paint signs, make business cards, take pictures, and create colorful advertisements, it doesn't matter that they hired you for data entry - you're the creative talent. Luckily, I love the opportunity to be creative wherever and whenever, which is why freelancing as an artist has been part of my life for so many years.
Though I've been looking through a camera lens since middle school, the reason I keep snapping photos is to have fresh material to play with in Adobe Photoshop. Over decades, the software has become my preferred pallette and hours slip by while I happily click through color options, filters, measured adjustments...
The most thrilling jobs I've had are helping interior designers fill hotels with custom artwork. Creating and selling that much art is a fantastically rewarding endeavor - despite all the paperwork.
The most fun jobs are photography sessions with teens for their senior portraits. Shy beginnings end with anticipation of a portrait package they'll love - and I deliver with fully retouched images they are proud to show off.
My favorite jobs are photo restorations, even though the work can be gruelingly tedious. Revealing finished restorations can be very touching and memorable because of the strong emotions people tie to precious old photographs.
Work Terms
I'm a stay-at-home, off grid, homesteading housewife. So although there is always plenty of work to do, my schedule is flexible for freelance jobs. Since we run our home on solar power I have to do computer work during sunny hours, but phone calls and emails are welcome well into the evening.
For new employer relationships, I do require payment into SafePay before I deliver.
