I see the world differently.
I am a writer by background. Photography has been a relatively recent addition to my life. It started when I was lent a Pentax K30 DSLR during my final three months living in Normandy, France in 2017. I took thousands upon thousands of awful photographs of Cherbourg, a port city in Normandy. Eventually, the photos improved and my eye adjusted.
These days, I like to walk around in photography mode, with or without the camera. It helps me see the world a little bit differently, and it helps me relax. Anything can be a photograph, but what I aim to do is to capture the emotion I feel regarding the scene in front of me.
When I photograph a person, my goal is to capture who they are in a photograph. I want to see their soul.
