I am fascinated with the creation process. I love to see a thing come from nothingness to somethingness. I am passionate about getting an idea, putting it to a flat medium, modeling the idea in a virtual environment and seeing it become that thing to see and to feel it, to smell the raw materials that went into that thing. One step up from the object, to me, is to see HOW that is brought to its own. Here is where I get the most excitement is to once take an idea, How its made, and design the tools and machines to make that happen.
During my time at a start-up aircraft company, one of my many projects was to design some of the interior panels, which was fun, but what captured my interest was designing the tooling and mechanics that went in to laying up the carbon-fiber sheets that would makeup the panels.
My last position I was ask to help design a machine that would friction stir weld two 53' extruded aluminum pieces together. That process and the machine that would make that happen was more exciting to me than anything I had designed up to that point.
One of my many interests is surfing the google patent site. I love the process on invention. Creating something to solve a problem and answer the question "What were they thinking when they made this?" It seems a lot of products are design that only perpetuate more questions.

I prefer to communicate via email. We can skype at anytime. I will give updates at milestones or as required.
I'm currently available 8+ hours per day Monday thru Friday and if needed Saturday mornings.
I can bid hourly for small projects or by the project with milestone, with 35% at contract signing and remaining percentage upon mile stone completion.
