Born in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, Michael W. Choi is a Composer, Conductor, and Filmmaker specialized in writing music for film, animation, games, and new media.
He graduated from the Berklee College of Music: Valencia Campus, receiving a Master degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games. He learned a production of high-quality mock-ups, the art of orchestration, conducting for recording sessions, and advanced mixing skills for a variety of genre of music.
He also received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. During his times in Chicago, he worked with independent directors, artists, and students to collaborate in a film, video, new media, sound, and fine art projects. Also, he co-founded student film production group called KUT Film Production, where he directed and produced film and videos, and composed music for the scenes.
Michael is currently based in Los Angeles, composing various genres and medium, and open to all kinds of collaborations. It is his hope that all artists and people alike come together and produce creative and meaningful works.
