Truth-based marketing solutions to really unlock growth
With more than 20 years blue chip corporate marketing experience, my places & titles of work include Strategic Planning Director at DDB (advertising agency), Managing Director of a market research agency and Communication & Innovation Planner in the marketing department of Diageo Australia, the biggest alcohol company in the world.
My strategic skills are deep and my range is broad, though centred around marketing strategy, market research & through-the-line communications (from TV to digital). I move fluidly from strategy development, including both qualitative and quantitative research & analytics, to creative briefing & development, then finally into measurement & evaluation.
I'm equally conversant in the strategic, creative AND numbers aspect of marketing, which isn't the norm. I've crafted and written marketing strategies, creative briefs, uncovered penetrating insights, run workshops of all kinds and much more.
My modus operandi or 'anchor point when working' is: What is the core truth, which when actioned, will unlock growth? This anchor point has led to the initiation of many successful marketing actions and outcomes. If I had to sum myself up in one phrase, it's 'penetrating truth in action'.
The brands I've worked on include: Smirnoff, Guinness, Bundaberg Rum, Coca-Cola, Lipton, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Nike, Hepatitis C medication Zepatier, opioid addiction medication Suboxone, HIV medication Isentress, Woolworths Supermarkets, GLAD, Nike and many many more.
I also do volunteer marketing work for some charity organisations, so am adept at working with smaller budgets and free marketing channels such as social media, generating Word-of-Mouth and free or local PR.
Since 2016, I've been freelancing in the beautiful Byron Shire of northern NSW, so am no longer Sydney-based. While I still do freelance work for some Sydney-based clients, my preference is to stay at home, hence why I want to do more online work.
Work Terms
Because my freelance work is ad hoc, I'm very flexible with my work terms and would prefer to work on the 'right' projects, where both parties will achieve a genuine win-win outcome.
