You can do it.
This year, I plan on designing my brand around mental health, raising awareness and telling a story, not mine for the most part, but my moms, I plan on juggling tech/programming and mental health talks. Still practicing the talk and finding my voice. No one believes that I am a good dancer, but if I wasn't a programmer I would be a dancer or an artist. So why did I get into programming? For the freedom! I see myself more as a creative problem solver than a tech person, and as a teenager I quickly learnt that I had multiple interests armed with extreme curiosity, it was difficult deciding what I wanted to do with myself. With my tech skills I could do anything, venture into most fields as tech is needed practically in everything these days. This meant a great deal of freedom for me. I started out as an android app developer, self-taught, I really didn't have much love for school work, so I taught how to code, this wasn't the easiest thing to do, but it was a good distraction from my manic attacks. In a way programming saved me, my helping me utilized my mind. I believed that the future is mobile, I still do but to be honest back then I thought website technology was a dying breed, soon to e taken over by mobile apps, little did I know how wrong I was. I got employed at a startup called cre8k, this is where I learnt about prototyping and branding, venturing into both areas was easy since I already had graphic design skills. The start up later closed up as it's founder relocated from Nigeria to South Africa, back then remote works weren't a thing. Being jobless, I decided to bet on myself, become an entrepreneur as I had always dreamed and find my own consumers with my skills. I soon learnt that most businesses out there at the time weren't ready for a mobile app, but would consider getting a website, after a while I decided to make the change into website development to survive. My first client was a church, they needed a website and wanted to be able to receive email
