Educator. Health Coach. Trainer. I want to live healthy, teach healthy, breathe healthy, so that someone can say, because of you I changed.
I am an adjunct faculty at the University of Maine at Farmington where I teach two academic courses, HEA 241 and HEA 303, Nutrition and Exercise & Physiology of Exercise respectively. My full time career is currently at the Fitness and Recreation Center where I am the Coordinator for Personal Training, Group Fitness and Wellness for the fitness center and the UMF campus/community.
I hold a Masters in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania. I specialize in Health Coaching primarily, however I also hold several certifications from ACE/NASM for Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Health Coach, Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist.
I have worked with many demographics, from youth fitness to active aging. Working with folks who have Parkinson’s Disease to those who have suffered a debilitating injury to someone who wants to lose 5% body fat. My scope of practice is diverse and continues to build as I professionally grow.
