I do my best to make sure my work is memorable, a joy to look at, and as hand-crafted and cared for as possible, even if most of the work I do ends up being digital.
I was working on my bachelor's in biology when one day I said, "No, what the hell am I doing?! I want to draw!" and changed career paths since then and haven't looked back. I have always drawn something or other as I was growing up, but until a little less than 10 years ago I wasn't completely honest with myself over what was important to me in life. When I first got my drawing tablet and learned to use photoshop, I was hooked and have been since. Every day is like learning a different language with drawing. Sometimes I make a ton of headway and other times I feel like in order to improve I have to change things up, so I do, and because of that I've learned.
Before doing my art I've worked in all manner of service industry jobs and also a few labor jobs, but I knew I wasn't cut out for roofing or income taxes (both which seem to run in the family) and that I would need to find a creative outlet doing my artwork or die trying.
I grew up in El Paso, Texas and have since moved to Central Florida. I love everything about Florida and don't feel like I'll be moving any time soon, but time will tell.
Work Terms
If you have a job offer then I would prefer to eventually move the conversation over to my work e-mail. I am looking for all kinds of work at the moment, though my time is limited for my art so I'd like to discuss what the job is before I give an estimate of how much something will cost. I budge, but only if I think the reason for the price budge is reasonable or if I think I can complete the task quickly enough. I will also make adjustments to designs, but not at my own personal cost. If the changes are substantial then I will inform you of how much they will cost prior to making them.
My last thing is I just want to have fun, and am totally up for skype and other forms of communication and am very happy to keep you informed on the progress of the painting or design or sketch or whatever it is you'd like me to make! I love working with people to give their ideas a pulse!
